Floral Favorites

Has anyone else been as enamored as I’ve been over the current fashion flood of florals?!  It makes my floral-loving heart sing!  Ever since I was little, I’ve always loved pastels and florals.  And to see sooo much floral this spring and summer… well, can you have too much floral?  I’m not sure, but if so, I’m guilty.  I’ve been enjoying that “trend”, though (I don’t follow trends…to me, following trends is so hard anyways, not to mention it takes away a large part of personal style.  Ever since I discovered Dressing Your Truth several years ago, I’ve given up on trying to fit into the current trends.  And I’ve never felt like I’ve had more of my own personal style!  It’s great!).  But this is a trend that happens to be something I love and incorporate into my own style anyways.  Have you been a fan of the floral frenzy?

When Cleo Madison -a new-to-me brand, reached out to me this summer asking if I’d like to sample something from their shop… you can guess what I chose, right?  Something floral. 🙂  This Prague dress to be exact (which just happens to be on sale now, so click your way over pronto so you don’t miss out before it gets sold out).  Cleo Madison has a lot of great finds, and a great sale going on as well!

The pastel and floral theme took me back a bit to my childhood, and of course, a side pony was the logical choice. 🙂  A 30-something can still wear them occasionally, right?! lol

The dress is SO comfy, like wearing pajamas comfy!  It doesn’t seem to wrinkle easily, either, which is always a plus!

I was particularly liking my makeup the day I took these pictures, so I’ll share what I’m wearing:

Everyday Minerals foundation in a mix of Golden Fair and Ivory (I can wear either one, and I had a little bit of each left in their containers so I combined them into one).

Eye shadow is Bliss (outer lid) and Utopia (middle and inner lid) from Redeeming Beauty Minerals, which is just an amazing company with heart.  Also from Redeeming Beauty is the brow gel is Gentle.

Mascara is a coat of blackberry mascara from 100% Pure and a coat of brown from Real Purity (I like them both, and don’t have much left the 100% Pure, so just did 1 coat of that).

Blush is actually Silk Naturals Limbo (an eye color).  It’s a pretty pink (on the light side, with a nice shimmer, so it mostly left my cheeks with a glow instead of a strong color, which is fine to me).

Lips are Lipsense Kiss Me Kate (x2) and Bombshell (x1) with Glossy Gloss.  My friend, Cassie, is a Lipsense friend of mine, and here is her page if you’d like to try them out. (She also has a fun giveaway going on right now you don’t want to miss).  She is such a hoot and just a really sweet person!

I don’t know what the trends for fashion will be come spring, but you can bet I’ll still be flying with the florals!!
